This image drawn by Marc and Hartmut Jager depict a Minoan Lady as she might have looked during the height of the highly advanced Bronze Age civilization of Crete. A catastrophic volcanic eruption at the island of Thera (now Santorini ) and the following invasion by mainland Greeks destroyed this great Aegean culture ! - And gave rise to the Legend of Atlantis ! -
